Bewonersoverleg Duinoord het Walking Dinner. Elke bewoner in Duinoord, die ouder is dan 18 jaar, kan deelnemen als kok of als gast. De inschrijving voor dit jaar is inmiddels geopend.
Als gast: Je gaat naar drie huizen in de wijk waar je gaat genieten van een voor-, hoofd- en nagerecht met wisselende buurtgenoten. Tussen de gangen door loop of fiets je naar de volgende locatie. De start en de afsluiting is in het Trefcentrum Duinoord op het Sweelinckplein. We starten om 17.30 uur en om 22.15 uur sluiten we samen af met koffie en lekkers in het Trefcentrum.
Als kok: Haute Cuisine is niet nodig. Het gaat om plezier in koken, wijkgenoten leren kennen en het ontvangen van gasten in je huis. Elke kok stelt zijn eigen menu samen en doet daarvoor de inkopen. Je ontvangt 3 keer een wisselend gezelschap; voor het eerste gezelschap maak je een voorgerecht, het tweede een hoofdgerecht en het derde een nagerecht. Je kunt ervoor kiezen om 4 of 6 gasten te ontvangen.
Kosten
Gasten betalen € 30,- voor de driegangen maaltijd.
De koks ontvangen € 30,- per complete maaltijd (voor-, hoofd- en nagerecht inclusief drank). De
kosten voor de start, afsluiting, promotie en bedankje voor de koks worden gesponsord door het
Bewonersoverleg.
Bij inschrijving betaal je als gast de bijdrage aan het bewonersoverleg, die vervolgens voor de
betaling aan de koks zorg draagt.

FAQ’s
Wie kunnen er allemaal meedoen?
Alle bewoners van Duinoord van 18 jaar en ouder kunnen deelnemen.
We geven ons op als stel, blijven we dan bij elkaar tijdens de 3-gangen?
Je kunt je als stel aanmelden en kiezen om bij elkaar te blijven of juist niet. Je ziet elkaar sowieso
weer bij de afsluitende borrel.
Hoe wordt omgegaan met allergieën?
Je kunt dit bij de aanmelding doorgeven. Dit wordt vervolgens met de koks en hun kookvoorkeuren
afgestemd.
Kan ik ook een kok helpen?
Ja graag, je kunt bijvoorbeeld ook samen met een buurman/vrouw opgeven om te koken.
Is er voldoende tijd om van locatie te wisselen?
Er is 15 minuten tussen de gangen om te wisselen van locatie. In de persoonlijk route wordt met deze tijd rekening gehouden en zie je waar je naar toe moet.
Is er meer informatie voor koks beschikbaar?
Er is woensdagavond 16 september om 19.30 voor koks die dat willen gelegenheid om een andere koks te ontmoeten en tips uit te wisselen in het Trefcentrum.
Wanneer krijg ik te horen waar ik heen ga en met wie?
Als gast krijg je een paar dagen voor het Walking Dinner je persoonlijke schema.
Wanneer dien ik te betalen?
Na bevestiging van de inschrijving vanuit de organisatie dien je direct te betalen. Pas na betaling is de aanmelding definitief.
Hoeveel plekken zijn er beschikbaar?
Dit is afhankelijk van het aantal koks wat zich aanmeldt.
Is het mogelijk te annuleren?
Omdat de koks rekening houden met hun organisatie en inkoop heeft het de voorkeur dat je je plek
overdraagt aan een andere buurtgenoot. Mocht je na inschrijving echt niet kunnen meld dit dan
uiterlijk een week van te voren bij de organisatie.
Walking Dinner Duinoord 2026
Do you enjoy good food and good company? Would you like to get to know your neighbours better? This year, the Duinoord Residents’ Association (Bewonersoverleg Duinoord) is once again organising the Walking Dinner. Every Duinoord resident aged 18 or over can participate, either as a host (cook) or as a guest. Registration is now open.
How the Walking Dinner Works
As a guest: You will visit three different homes in the neighbourhood, where you will enjoy a starter, main course and dessert with different groups of neighbours at each location. Between courses, you will walk or cycle to the next address.
The evening begins and ends at the Duinoord Community Centre (Trefcentrum Duinoord) on Sweelinckplein. We start at 5:30 pm and conclude together at 10:15 pm with coffee and treats at the community centre.
As a host (cook): Haute cuisine is not required! The Walking Dinner is about enjoying cooking, meeting neighbours, and welcoming guests into your home.
Each host creates their own menu and purchases the ingredients. During the evening, you will
welcome three different groups of guests:
- For the first group, you serve a starter.
- For the second group, you serve a main course.
- For the third group, you serve a dessert.
You may choose to host either 4 or 6 guests.
Costs
Guests pay €30 for the three-course dinner.
Hosts receive €30 per complete meal served (starter, main course or dessert, including drinks).
The costs of organising the event, the opening and closing gathering, promotion, and a thank-you gift for the hosts are covered by the Residents’ Association.
When registering as a guest, you pay your contribution to the Residents’ Association, which will then arrange payment to the hosts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can participate?
All Duinoord residents aged 18 and over are welcome to join.
We are registering as a couple. Will we stay together throughout the evening?
Yes. When registering, you can choose whether you would like to stay together during all three
courses or be assigned to different groups. In either case, you will meet again at the closing
gathering.
How are allergies handled?
You can indicate genuine food allergies when registering. We will coordinate these with the hosts
and their menu preferences as far as reasonably possible.
Can I help a host?
Absolutely. You are welcome to sign up together with a neighbour, friend, or partner and host jointly.
Is there enough time to travel between locations?
Yes. There is a 15-minute interval between courses to allow guests to move between locations. Your
personal itinerary will include all addresses and travel times.
Is additional information available for hosts?
Yes. On Wednesday 16 September 7:30PM, hosts who wish to do so are invited to meet fellow hosts,
exchange ideas and share tips at the Duinoord Community Centre.
When will I find out where I am going and who I will be dining with?
Guests will receive their personal schedule a few days before the Walking Dinner.
When do I need to pay?
Once your registration has been confirmed by the organisers, payment is due immediately. Your
registration becomes final only after payment has been received.
How many places are available?
The number of available places depends on how many hosts sign up.
Is it possible to cancel?
Because hosts plan and purchase ingredients based on registrations, we strongly encourage
participants to transfer their place to another neighbour if they can no longer attend. If that is not
possible, please notify the organisers no later than one week before the event.
